Convention Guests

This is the 64th annual Convergence Science Fiction convention.  The committee are keen to uphold the best traditions of the event, and to this end we have booked several exciting Guests of Honour to give talks and participate in other events.

As many members will be aware, this year is the anniversary of the cult tv favourite The Time Key.  The show was famously axed before the final episode of the first season even aired; to this day there are countless conspiracy theories about exactly what happened, both in the show itself and behind the scenes.  To mark this, we have invited cast and crew from the show to attend, and the committee is particularly delighted to announce that our main Media Guest of Honour will be Phil Nathan* who played one of the two leads on the show, the enigmatic Ronald Fox.

Our Literary Guest of Honour is noted author and raconteur Kilgore Trout.  His recently published memoir, My Ten Years on Automatic Pilot, divided critics, with many of them considering it to be less of an autobiography than a random collection of implausible encounters with strange people seemingly from alternate dimensions.

Our Science Guest of Honour is perennial fan favourite Dr Nick Chester, former member of the group The Rock-Breakers and now a popular science broadcaster.  His lectures and demonstrations have always gone 'with a bang' and we may even get a preview of his latest television documentary on the ever-surprising links between Music & Physics.

We hope to confirm other guests nearer the time.
